About Me
After graduating with a degree in Textile Design, I started my career in buying and product development. In many ways, I loved what I did — it was fast-paced, driven by high standards and tight deadlines, and that really suited the part of me that felt good about achieving. On the outside, it looked like everything was going well. But over time, I began to feel overwhelmed, unfulfilled — and really stuck. I was doing everything I thought I should be doing, but none of it felt quite right. Although many aspects of the role were valuable, I knew deep down that the work didn’t align with my values or sense of purpose.

It was around that time I started therapy. Therapy gave me space to explore why I felt the way I did. I began to notice familiar patterns — always pushing myself to meet impossible standards, and often saying yes to others, even when it didn’t feel right. I’d been so focused on doing that I hadn’t stopped to acknowledge how I was really feeling. Being busy had become a way to avoid emotions that felt challenging and uncomfortable.
As I began to understand where these behaviours came from and how they were shaping my life, things slowly began to change. Life started to feel a little lighter and I felt so much more at ease.
New decisions
It feels important to say that therapy didn’t fix everything overnight, but it gave me something more useful: insight, awareness, and a sense of choice.
A few years later, I changed career direction and began working as a Volunteer Coordinator in a social housing organisation. There, I supported individuals to build confidence, develop skills, and explore new opportunities through volunteering. Seeing people grow and thrive with the right support helped me realise that training as a psychotherapist was the path I wanted to follow.

Now, my role as a therapist brings a deep sense of purpose, connection, and joy. For me, therapy is about reconnecting with who you are and making choices that feel right for you. When we grow our self-awareness and begin to understand the patterns behind our thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, we create the space to change what’s no longer working for us.
