Therapeutic approach
The main modality I work in is Transactional Analysis, although
I tend to call it TA for short.

I first came to TA through my own therapy, and it made me realise that my struggles weren’t just symptoms, but were rooted in how I related to myself and others.
TA is a type of talking therapy that supports personal growth and change by exploring how our personality has been shaped by early experiences, decisions, and beliefs, particularly those formed in childhood. It helps us reflect on how we became who we are, and how we've learned to relate to others.

By making links with our past and present and bringing that understanding into our awareness, we gain greater insight into our personality and can choose to make positive changes to our lives in the present.

What I value most about TA is its depth and focus on lasting change. Instead of just addressing the symptoms, it helps us understand why we behave the way we do. With this understanding, you can build insight, resilience, and the confidence to face future challenges in a way that feels more grounded and authentic.

How we work together
TA is based on the principle of "I'm OK, you're OK". This is a way to describe the relationship between the client and therapist as being completely equal. I will encourage you to take an active role in therapy. I won't decide what is right for you - that's up to you. My role is to facilitate and support you to make sense of your experiences, using sensitive questioning and honest input to help you to gain in-depth insight into your thoughts, feelings and behaviours.

I'm the kind of therapist who actively participates in the process, so this is a two-way conversation that supports your growth. I talk, I ask thoughtful questions, and I engage with you. While there’s space for silence when it's needed, I won’t just sit back and nod. I’ll offer insights, reflections, and gentle challenges to help you explore and understand yourself more deeply.
From my experience, it's our collaborative relationship that forms the foundation for meaningful change. It will take time for us to get to know one another and it may take time for you to develop trust in me. That's ok — it is natural to feel hesitant. Sometimes therapy might feel challenging or emotional. That's ok too — I'm here to support you and help you to navigate through both the difficult moments and the positive moments of change.
It takes courage to admit something isn’t working, so you’re already taking an important step. Read on to discover how therapy can support meaningful change, offering clarity, personal growth, and lasting change.

Why therapy?
If nothing changed in the next 10 years, how would you feel?

Time for you
In therapy, the focus is entirely on you — your thoughts, your feelings, your experience. This is a space to slow down and invest in your own emotional needs.
A confidential space
Everything you share stays between us. Therapy offers a safe, supportive environment where you can speak openly, without fear of judgment or your story being repeated.
Unfiltered and non-judgmental
You don’t have to have it all figured out, and you don’t have to censor yourself. Therapy is a place to be authentically you. My role is to walk alongside you with curiosity, not criticism.
A fresh perspective
Talking things through can help you make sense of what’s going on inside, especially when things feel confusing or stuck. With compassion and curiosity, we’ll explore what’s not working and why, so you can move forward with greater self-awareness.
A meaningful investment
Therapy isn’t about quick fixes. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, so you can meet life’s challenges with more clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.

Enjoyment, too
Yes, therapy can be hard. But it can also feel uplifting, grounding, even joyful. There’s something powerful about showing up for yourself, and discovering new parts of who you are. I'm here for all of it.
